Fees & Cancellation

Clear expectations make better therapy. Here's everything you need to know before your first session — no surprises.

Updated June 23, 2026 · Rates increase August 1, 2026

Heads up: The rates below are current and in effect now. Some individual psychotherapy fees will increase on August 1, 2026 — the new amounts are noted beneath the table so you can plan ahead. Couples, Walk & Talk, supervision, add-on, and consultation fees are not changing.

Session Fees

Sessions are available in several lengths — because the work doesn't always fit a standard hour. Payment is due at the time of service unless direct billing has been arranged in advance. Extended Health Benefits & Direct Billing

Registered Psychotherapy is covered under most Extended Health Benefit (EHB) plans — not under OHIP. Direct billing is available to most major carriers, which means your insurer may be billed directly and you won't need to pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement.

To use direct billing, please confirm your coverage with your insurer before your session and let us know when booking. Bring your insurance information (provider name, policy/group number, policy holder details) to your first session. Not sure what you have? Book a free 20-minute call and we'll confirm your coverage before we begin.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. When plans change, giving notice as early as possible allows that time to be offered to someone else who needs it.

Appointments cancelled, rescheduled, or shortened with less than 24 hours' notice are considered late cancellations. The following applies within any rolling 12-month period:

OccurrenceFee
First late cancellationWaived
Second late cancellation$30
Third late cancellation$50
Fourth and beyondFull session fee
Missed appointment / no-showFull session fee

Wherever possible, switching to a virtual session is encouraged rather than cancelling — it keeps the momentum of the work going and avoids a late cancellation fee. Just reach out before your appointment time.

Life Happens

Illness, childcare, emergencies, the general chaos of being a person — we get it. If something comes up, reach out as early as you can. Exceptions may be made at clinician discretion where circumstances warrant.

If late cancellations or attendance patterns become frequent, we may review this collaboratively to support the continuity of your care. Ongoing attendance concerns may result in the full session fee being applied at clinician discretion. Rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice counts as a late cancellation under this policy, even if you book a new appointment.
